The island has a large number of taverns and restaurants where the visitor can enjoy wonderful traditional dishes. In addition to classic nights with wine, traditional dance and island music, nightlife is supplemented by modern nightclubs, discos and bars to suit all tastes and all age groups. The famous bar mile located very near to the port of Kos next to the Ancient ruins. The bar mile has become an attraction and is that that makes Kos a famous Party island in Greece. Numerous bars pubs and clubs one next to the other with hundreds of young and old tourists drinking and singing the whole nigh long. The music is all over the place so if you stay in bar a you can hear the music of bar b and c as well.But this is not the only nightlife on Kos there are many restaurants that offer live music with Greek and international songs.
Most of the cafes, bars and restaurants are next to each other at the Akti Kountouriotou the promenade of Kos. There you will find the popular among the Dutch tourists Eet Cafe De Haven. In the small square a few steps further there are many bars and restaurants that at night are bursting from people. There are many restaurants across the north part of the beach of Kos town. If you want a more relaxing atmosphere try the cafe Syntrivani in the promenade a few meters away from the taxi terminal and opposite the mini train terminal that offers tour in Kos town. In the bar mile the Hamam club offers live music at night usually introducing a guitarist singing ballads and rock. Around the Kos municipality market you will find also many eateries and cafeterias. The cafe Latino in the roundabout with the dolphins in the promenade offers Latin dance lessons from a giant screen. In the square of the Hippocrates a cafe restaurant has live Greek music an a wonderful environment over the ruins of the ancient town. For those that would like to eat cheap at night we recommend the numerous souvlaki places and the Greek fast food chain Goodie's at the Akti Kountouriotou (just at the corner of the bar mile) or the Everest with nice cheese pies and snacks at the promenade.
In all tourist resorts of Kos like Mastihari, Kardamena, tigaki, Kefalos you will find many Greek restaurants and taverns, cafes, bars and clubs. One thing that someone can observe is that Kos like Rhodes unlike other Greek islands have made cafes and bars for certain European nationalities.
