Greek island and its population is 163,476 residents. Located about 460 kilometres southeast of Athens and 18 km from the coast of Turkey. Rhodes Town is the capital of the island and the prefecture of Dodecanese. The wider metropolitan area of Rhodes Town (Municipality of Rhodes, Ialyssos and Kallithea) has a permanent population
approximately 120,000 inhabitants, while the Municipality of Rhodes has about 98,000 residents.
